The Bluestone Collection was founded in 2010 by a group of craft supporters to build

a collection that promotes contemporary Australian craft exhibition practice and 

fosters dialogue. 

As members of the craft community, we are working to encourage a high standard of 

exhibition work within Victoria and raise the profile of contemporary craft.

Our individual members, who then distribute and enjoy the works in their private 

homes, fund the collection. It is our intention to donate the works to a suitable 

institution once the collection reaches maturity.

The Bluestone Collection welcomes information from Victorian galleries about 

upcoming exhibitions of contemporary craft. As a not-for-profit association, the 

Collection can also take donations, which will contribute to its acquisitions fund.
